Solar Water Heaters
Bay Area Plumbing & TCT Passive Solar Water Heaters
PROGRESSIVTUBEŽ passive solar hot water heaters are self-contained, single unit
systems that integrate the solar collector and storage tank. In most
applications, it functions as a pre-heater to an instantaneous or conventional
water heater. PROGRESSIVTUBEŽ solar hot water heaters require only local water
pressure and solar radiation to operate. No pumps, controls, mechanical or
electrical components are required. Once installed, the system will work
automatically. When hot water is used, solar pre-heated water is drawn into the
conventional water heater, reducing electrical or gas usage for water heating.
The PROGRESSIVTUBEŽ is among the most efficient solar systems rated by national
testing and certification agencies. All PROGRESSIVTUBEŽ solar hot water systems
meet or exceed all applicable national plumbing and building codes. Our systems
are virtually maintenance free and feature a twenty-five year design life.
Whether your purchase decisions depend on simple pay back, return on investment
or life cycle analysis, PROGRESSIVTUBEŽ solar hot water heating system can
exceed your expectations. PROGRESSIVTUBEŽ the value leader in solar technology!
It can affect you and your family's overall health. Water softening is great for
shaving, bathing, laundry, etc., but the water we drink needs to meet a higher
standard. Drinking water needs to be free from any impurities and chemicals if
it is going to be used for drinking water or cooking. Reverse Osmosis
Purification will provide you with the high level of purification needed for
drinking water by removing all the impurities and chemicals from regular tap
water. Reverse Osmosis also eliminates salt that basic faucet filters cannot
filter out. The Reverse Osmosis Purification process can remove particles as
small as ions from your water!
How It Works
The all copper collector/storage tank absorbs solar radiation through its
selective surface coating by raising the temperature of the water stored in the
collector. It is well insulated with closed cell foam and double-glazed for
increased heat retention. The 4” diameter copper tubes are welded into a series
flow pattern so that the top of the lower tube feeds the bottom of the next
tube. This allows the collector to contain the colder replacement water in the
lower tubes where it is heated by the sun as it flows from one tube to the next.
Each time hot water is used, the innovative design eliminates the cooling down
of the remaining heated water that normally occurs in other types of solar hot
water heating systems. Not only does this design ensure the delivery of the
hottest water, but it also provides more hot water at a higher temperature and
with a faster recovery time than solar systems of similar capacities.
Home Owner Benefits:
Our solar water heaters reduce anywhere from 50% - 90% of your annual hot water
heating costs that are typically 20% - 40% of your utility bill. Only A/C and
heating is a higher energy cost than hot water heating. Savings of $150 - $300 +
each year of your water heating cost is typical for families of 2 - 4. Larger
families save even more. Double your hot water storage capacity - no running out
of hot water. Environmentally friendly PROGRESSIVTUBEŽ solar water heaters off
set utility pollution the equivalent of driving x miles or a forest of x acres.
One of the top rated systems as tested and certified by the Florida Solar Energy
Center. Manufactured since 1984 by one of America's oldest solar manufactures.
Ten year warranty including freeze damage (refer to TCT warranty guidelines).
Passive design assures no ongoing costly repair bills many times associated with
other solar heating systems. Thirty year design life. Aesthetically pleasing
skylight design.
